Step 3: Adjust initial camber

Camber Angle (-) Degree(s)

“Adjust the angle of the car’s tyres relative to the ground. At the lowest value
(0), the wheels are perpendicular to the ground. The higher the value, the
greater the extent to which the bottom of the wheels are wider apart than the
top. With a negative camber angle, the tyres will have more grip while
cornering. An excessively negative angle will impede your driving, however.”

GT Sport is no hardcore Sim. Tires temperature is not relevant (and not
visible), therefore we will not adjust camber angle in order to achieve optimal
temperature distribution, meaning similar temperature on the inside, centre
and outside of the tire.
What we need to achieve is to optimize tire’s contact patch when the vehicle
rolls toward the outside of the corner at mid-corner (apex).
Since we cannot see temperatures, we need to test, and find the right
compromise.
Negative camber is always good, but being the tire tilted in, less contact
patch will be on the road when driving a straight line. On your front wheels it
means less grip when braking. On your rear wheels it means less grip when
accelerating.

General rule: generally speaking GT Sport default camber is always a bit
too high (too negative). Try lower (less negative) that value, especially on
your rear, keeping front a bit more negative on RWD, and same on
4WD/FWD. But remember, you need flatter front tires when you need strong
straight braking and flatter rear tires when you need sudden straight
acceleration.
